2024 The 19th National Sports Academic Associations Joint Annual Conference & International Academic Symposium
The 19th National Sports Academic Associations Joint Annual Conference & International Academic Symposium was successfully held at National Tainan University from November 30 to December 1, 2024. With the theme “Sport Integrates Humanities and Technology” the symposium explored the close relationship between sports, humanities, and technology, fostering diverse academic exchanges to drive the future development of sports.
Sports are not only related to personal health and national athletic competitiveness but also deeply intertwined with cultural literacy and technological innovation. This symposium aimed to shape the core values of sports through academic paper presentations, international forums, and practical experience sharing, while promoting technological advancements and ensuring the sustainable development of sports in Taiwan.
This year’s symposium welcomed scholars from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Japan, engaging in in-depth discussions with domestic experts. The participation of international scholars elevated the academic level of the conference and provided fresh perspectives for Taiwan’s sports academic development.
Additionally, this year marks the 400th anniversary of Tainan, a historically significant cultural hub of Taiwan. The academic exchanges with the Dutch academic community carried special significance, as a cross-national academic forum on sports culture development between Tainan and the Netherlands was held. This forum revisited a century of sports culture evolution, strengthened international cooperation, and enhanced Taiwan’s visibility in the global sports academic field.
A total of 44 academic associations participated in this joint annual conference, demonstrating the unity and vitality of Taiwan’s sports academic community. The international symposium also featured scholars from three different countries, further reinforcing domestic and international academic exchanges.
The successful organization of the 19th National Sports Academic Associations Joint Annual Conference & International Academic Symposium not only showcased Taiwan’s research capabilities in sports academia but also laid a solid foundation for future academic collaboration and development. Through academic forums and international exchanges, Taiwan’s sports values will continue to deepen, integrating with technological advancements to propel the nation’s sports industry and academic research to new heights.
